Approximately 20% of Americans will be over 65 years old by the year 2030. This presentation will explore the unique challenges older adults in Washington state experience when trying to obtain and maintain affordable housing.

The May session of Hot Topics in Practice will explore the affordable housing challenges Washington’s older adults confront. The presentation will draw upon findings from the AARP Vital Voices survey on Caregiving and Livable Communities, and will focus on advocacy and legislative strategies to address the issues surrounding affordable housing for older adults.

During this hour-long webinar, Marguerite Ro and Representative Mia Gregerson will explore how data can influence advocacy and policy priorities, identify gaps in the existing knowledge base, and zero-in on the caregiving and basic needs of Washington’s older adults.

Register today to learn about strategies to address housing security for older populations.
