Nevena Lalic works with NWCPHP as an instructor for the Public Health Management Certificate program.

Nevena is a Policy Development Analyst at the University of Washington's Office of Planning and Budgeting. After making the transition from corporate law to the public sector, Nevena focused on financial management and data analysis, working on several local and international projects. She participated in a study of the financial sustainability of the transportation sector in the Puget Sound region, helped develop a training curriculum for public sector officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina to strengthen their capacity for financial analysis and planning as part of a UNICEF-supported project, and developed a methodology for the joint probabilistic projection of female and male life expectancy for all the countries in the world on behalf of the United Nations, among others.

Nevena greatly enjoys sharing her passion for building robust management systems and helping others achieve greater financial and quantitative literacy. In addition to teaching the financial management portion of the Public Health Management Certificate program, she also helps teach online courses for Seton Hall University’s Masters in Health Care Administration program.

She holds law degrees from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, as well as an MPA and a Master's degree in statistics from the University of Washington.
