Larry KesslerPrincipal Investigator & Faculty



Larry Kessler is Professor in the Department of Health Services at the University of Washington School of Public Health. He is the Principal Investigator for the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Partnership (PCORP), housed at NWCPHP.

Areas of Expertise

  • Cost-effectiveness

Larry has 30 years of experience in health services research, including 13 years working at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health of the US Food and Drug Administration. He currently conducts research in comparative effectiveness and patient-centered outcomes.

Larry is experienced in the use of observational data to compare and examine interventions, and has managed large organizations of collaborating scientists and clinicians. He actively participates in the training programs of the University of Washington CHASE Alliance and supervises more than 60 faculty and 400 students.
