Ian Painter is Co-Investigator for the Northwest Preparedness and Emergency Response Research Center’s (PERRC) Bystander CPR project. He also works as biostatistician on other Northwest PERRC projects and as faculty for the Public Health Management Certificate and Northwest Public Health Leadership Institute.

Ian is also Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington School of Public Health in the Department of Health Services. He received his Masters of Science in Mathematics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and his PhD in Statistics from the University of Washington.

Ian serves as a board member of the International Society for Disease Surveillance.
