Hilary Karasz works with NWCPHP as a Co-Investigator on text messaging research through the Northwest Preparedness and Emergency Response Research Center. She is also a content expert and instructor for communications related trainings.

Hilary is an Educator-Consultant and Public Information Officer for Public Health - Seattle & King County. She is also an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Servicesat the University of Washington School of Public Health. She also co-teaches Health Communication through the Executive MPH program

She received BA in history from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master’s in Broadcast Communications Arts from San Francisco State University and her PhD in Communications from the University of Washington.
