Public health programs are increasingly being asked to demonstrate their value, impact, and reach. This course can help leaders and managers working in a variety of program areas to ensure they are planning for success. The course can help those that are conducting an evaluation to secure funding, are looking for ways to improve a particular component, testing the effectiveness of the overall program, or looking to communicate results to partners about their program.
This eight-week series introduces participants to the fundamentals of program evaluation. Through this course, participants will have developed a comprehensive plan for their project or program to prove results and impact. The material emphasizes helpful steps and tools to use throughout program planning, implementation, and data gathering steps, as well as how to communicate results. Participants will also explore how to better engage partners or other collaborators in their work and how to think critically about those served or who are most affected by the program activities.
