Public health professionals are asked to solve increasingly complex challenges—often with limited time, funding, and capacity.

Many enter the field from a wide range of professional backgrounds and are simultaneously developing new skills while navigating demanding roles.

Considering this, we’re excited to announce a new resource that makes it easier to find and access training that builds confidence and competence in essential public health skills.

The Strategic Skills Live Training Database is a free, curated resource that brings together live training opportunities from across the Public Health Training Center Network and their partners.

The database highlights interactive learning opportunities that build critical Strategic Skills, including:

  • effective communication
  • resource management
  • systems and strategic thinking
  • community engagement
  • cross‑sector partnerships
  • change management
  • policy engagement

Trainings are available for professionals at all career stages, from frontline staff to executive leadership.

Explore over 30 live, scheduled trainings using the interactive database. Sort by Strategic Skill, learning level, training length, and more. No account is required to access the database, though you may need to create an account to register for individual trainings.

By focusing exclusively on live offerings, this resource supports engagement, peer learning, and real‑time connection—helping the public health workforce learn together and apply skills in practice.
