NWCPHP is continually learning from the practice community about how to be of better service, and our new website and new look are another step toward better serving our region.

"We're out in the community providing services," says Luann D'Ambrosio, NWCPHP Associate Director, "and people told us, 'We know you are a great resource. We just wish we knew all of the different ways we could utilize you.'"

This feedback from public health agencies, combined with new emphasis from CDC to better promote services, spurred NWCPHP to take action. The website has been re-organized to better explain services, make the navigation intuitive, and improve the site's functionalities. For instance, all of NWCPHP's trainings are now searchable by title, topic, or format.

NWCPHP also launched a new look in January of 2013 to help clarify its position in the somewhat complicated University system. NWCPHP is housed in the School of Public Health at the University of Washington.

"Our new look reinforces our position within the School and within the University," says Missie Thurston, Marketing and Communications Manager. "People we serve know us as part of the University of Washington. We needed that to be reflected in our materials, but we also needed everyone to know that our mission of promoting excellence in public health practice has not changed."
