NWCPHP is pleased to announce the newest addition to its collection of tabletop exercises, Emergency Preparedness: Continuity Tabletop Exercises

September 23, 2011

When disaster strikes—like the recent earthquake in New York or Hurricane Irene flooding in Vermont—how do you keep your research, academic, and business functions and community partnerships on track? NWCPHP is pleased to announce the newest addition to its collection of tabletop exercises, Emergency Preparedness: Continuity Tabletop Exercises.

This CD-ROM offers a series of three continuity tabletop exercises that simulate emergency events and allow you to discover the strengths and weaknesses in your overall response and continuity plans. They are designed to help you clarify the roles and responsibilities of staff, faculty, students and community partners in a large-scale public health emergency.

The exercises will help you identify and prioritize important areas for collaboration and coordination among internal departments and outside agencies. The customizable templates included on the CD-ROM can be used to create stronger policies and ultimately lead to better emergency response.

Andy Stergachis, PhD, RPh, NWCPHP faculty member, Professor of Epidemiology and Global Health, and Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy and Health Services, was the lead content expert for this new resource.
