Jack Thompson, MSW, former director of the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice, and faculty in the Department of Health Services at the University of Washington, School of Public health and Community Medicine, has received the Washington State Public Health Association (WSPHA) Annual Public Health Leader Award.

The Annual Public Health Leader Award was established in 1959 to recognize outstanding leadership and achievement in public health in Washington State, and is awarded in response to particular contributions to public health characterized by leadership and achievement.

Jack was nominated by his peers and the Awards Committee and Board representatives were pleased to give this distinguished award in recognition of his outstanding achievements as a leader in public health in Washington state.
