The December session of Hot Topics in Practice will consider how influential media sources present vaccine issues and how public health professionals can help frame the discussions and promote responsible coverage.
This one-hour webinar will review key principles of effective communication and media advocacy and the extent they are being applied in vaccine-related news coverage. The presentation will also use examples from the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond to explore media framing of vaccines, along with related research findings to inform what might still be needed to improve media coverage of this topic.
