Those in leadership, decision-making positions, and training coordinators in health departments or public health organizations who have many staff they would like to train about specific management-related topics.

Learning Goals and Formats

The Public Health Management Packages are designed to train participants in specific management-related topics. These offerings can be customized to the department's or organization's needs.

Diversity Statement

Diverse backgrounds, embodiments, and experiences are essential to the critical thinking endeavor at the heart of education. NWCPHP brings this to all of our programs and trainings. As such, participants are expected:

  1. To respect individual differences, which may include but are not limited to, age, cultural background, disability, ethnicity, family status, gender, immigration status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and veteran status.
  2. To engage respectfully in the discussion of diverse worldviews and ideologies embedded in course readings, presentations, and artifacts, including course materials that are at odds with personal beliefs and values.
  3. To talk to their instructor, or the Program Director when they have concerns about program climate.

What’s the difference between NWCPHP’s Public Health Management Certificate and the PHMC Packages?

PHMC is a year-long program offered region-wide and is best to send one or a few staff to. The packages offer shorter learning opportunities and allow an organization to train a larger staff group. The organization could choose to host a full management certificate program, a half certificate program, or one of the single-topic offerings.
