Are you a healthcare professional or educator interested in school-based health? If so, Foundations of School Nursing is designed for you. Gain the knowledge and skills to address pediatric health issues, manage common acute and chronic conditions and provide evidence-based care to students. You’ll learn about the professional school nursing role and also acquire strategies to tackle health inequities in schools. This course will provide you with the training needed to obtain National Board Certification as a School Nurse.
Foundations for School Nursing was previously offered through the University of Washington School of Nursing as a credit-based course. NWCPHP will be offering this as a self-paced course beginning in early 2027.
Please reach out to nwcphp@uw.edu for more information about this course.
