After you log into PH LearnLink you will see a screen identical to the one shown below. A toolbar along the top of the screen and one along the side will help you navigate the site.
Top Toolbar
The top toolbar contains links to frequently used functions in PH LearnLink. The functions and their descriptions are listed below:
- Home
- Clicking the Home link returns you to the welcome page of PH LearnLink.
- Help
- Clicking the Help link opens a separate window that contains information about the functions, features, and navigation of the site.
- Notepad
- The Notepad tool allows you to write notes for yourself from anywhere in the site. Once created, you can click Notepad again to edit, delete, and read your notes.
- Search
- Use the search function to search for keywords throughout the site.
- Jump to a page
- This drop-down menu provides quick links to several popular pages within the site (e.g., courses, presentations, team rooms).
- Logout
- This function will log you out of PH LearnLink.
Side Toolbar

The side toolbar provides links to all sections of PH LearnLink as well as several functions. Use the side toolbar to access our training materials, team rooms, and resources.
- Trainings
- Provides access to the courses, presentations, CD-ROMs and other products.
- Collaborations
- You can access team rooms from the Collaborations section. Team rooms allow you to share documents and participate in group discussions with other members of your team.
- Discussions
- The Discussions section allows you to participate in group discussions, comment on a recent Hot Topics presentation, or join a live chat.
- Directories
- The Directories section provides access to classroom calendars, facilities information, an instructor directory, and a peer directory.
- Resources
- The Resources section is where you can find answers to your frequently asked questions, a glossary of terms you might find in the PH LearnLink courses, links, other public health trainings and organizations, publication links, and software and plug-ins.
- My Page
- The My Page section contains links to your transcript and other personal information. From My Page you can change your login or password, view the courses you’ve completed, view your grades, and read assignments from your instructors.
- Announcements
- Displays site-wide announcements.
- What's New
- Displays a list of content that was added since the last time you logged into PH LearnLink.
- Surveys
- Displays a list of site surveys in which you can participate.
- Site Administration
- Only users with special permission levels can access the tools within the Site Administration section.
- Site Map
- Clicking the Site Map link displays an overview of the site organization alphabetized by section.
- Site Feedback
- The Site Feedback function allows you to send an e-mail to NWCPHP. Use this link if you want to leave a comment about PH LearnLink or contact technical support.
