Summer Institute for Public Health Practice: Epidemiology Track
Each August, the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice sponsors a week-long residential training institute in Seattle, Washington. Each Institute offers several training tracks and an Epidemiology track is included most years. Additional information is posted on the Summer Institute home page.

Preparing for and Responding to Bioterrorism: Information for Primary Care Clinicians
Slide sets and accompanying instructor's manuals designed for in-person training/education or for independent study. The content is divided into modules, such as: Introduction to Bioterrorism, Diseases of Bioterrorist Potential, Health Surveillance and Epidemiologic Investigation, Consequence Management, and Communications and Informatics. Provides detailed modules on specific BT disease agents: anthrax, botulism, plague, smallpox, tularemia, viral hemorrhagic fever.

NWCPHP Epidemiology Trainings around Northwest Region
In partnership with Northwest public health agencies, the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice offers epidemiology trainings periodically throughout the year, often as part of residential training institutes. Web-based Epidemiology Modules from NWCPHP
The Northwest Center for Public Health Practice offers several introductory, Web-based, narrated modules on epidemiology topics covering infectious disease, data interpretation, outbreak investigation, and surveillance.

Seattle Epidemiologic Research and Information Center (ERIC)
Epidemiologic and Biostatistical Research Methods - Online Learning/Cyber Session. Eight epidemiologic, biostatistics and research methods courses taught by UW faculty are offered through UW Educational Outreach in a distance learning/online learning format. Course offerings include: "Introduction to Epidemiologic Methods" and "General Biostatistics", as well as more advanced topics. Each course costs $299.

FOCUS on Field Epidemiology from the North Carolina Center for Public Health Preparedness
FOCUS on Field Epidemiology is a periodical with a hands-on, practical approach to various topics in field epidemiology. It can be used: - for computer-based self-study; - as a face-to-face teaching tool for trainers; - to add to lunch and learn seminars or in-service trainings.
