The Spring/Summer 2008 issue of Northwest Public Health takes a look at obesity and the social determinants that affect obesity rates. The issue leads off with an article highlighting current and emerging areas of focus for obesity prevention. Other articles describe various local and state systemic and environmental efforts to prevent obesity, from cross-agency collaborations to community capacity building among Hispanics.
