Public Health Informatics Competencies Working Group

These informatics competencies for public health professionals were developed by an informal group of people with expertise in public health, informatics, and education. The project was launched at a working meeting on May 15, 2001 in Atlanta, Georgia, in conjunction with the 2001 Spring Congress of the American Medical Informatics Association. Attendees at that meeting formed the initial working group, but membership has grown as other interested professionals have agreed to provide input.
