Washington State Public Health Practice-Based Research Network (WA PBRN)
The Northwest Center for Public Health Practice is partnering with Washington State public health organizations through the Washington Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN).
With a mission to expand public health systems research, Washington PBRN brings together the Washington Department of Health, the University of Washington’s Schools of Nursing and Public Health, the Washington State Association of Local Public Health Officials, and nine local public health jurisdictions (including lead agency Public Health - Seattle & King County). Participating researchers and practitioners collaborate on research projects that are innovative, creative, and cutting-edge.
Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Washington PBRN is an opportunity to identify and address public health systems and services research questions that affect public health services in Washington State. The Washington PBRN welcomes additional partners and funding to address these questions and to translate research findings into practice. This partnership is part of a long history of collaboration between local researchers and public health agencies in Washington State.
