This annual report and 20-year retrospective includes stories about activities done in each of our partner states, reminiscences from NWCPHP's five former directors, and, of course, information on NWCPHP training, research, and evaluation activities available to public health throughout the region. National Public Health WeekApril 5 – 11, 2010 Each year, the first full week of April celebrates public health's contributions to communities across the country. Organized by the American Public Health Association, each year's theme aims to reach the public, policy-makers, and practitioners with important information. This year's theme is "A Healthier America: One Community at a Time." (www.nphw.org) Many health departments in the region actively participate in National Public Health Week. We encourage you to visit their Web sites for more information.

Registration opens in mid-April for the 19th annual
The Northwest Center for Public Health Practice (NWCPHP) proudly celebrates its 20th year, and one of the major activities is the launch of an annual report and 20-year retrospective. This 24-page, full-color publication is produced as a Special Supplement to the School of Public Health journal, Northwest Public Health, and is now available.
NWCPHP's monthly e-mail postcard series, then & now, is sent to practitioners throughout the Northwest and celebrates the hard work and accomplishments in public health over the past 20 years.
