NWCPHP faculty Andy Stergachis, Randal Beaton, and Bryant Karras, along with other UW faculty, and in collaboration with Public Health - Seattle & King County (PHS&KC), have published an article evaluating a mass dispensing exercise.

The article, "Evaluation of a mass dispensing exercise in a Cities Readiness Initiative setting," published in the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, discusses a model for community-based mass dispensing of antibiotics. The evaluation was part of a collaboration between the University of Washington and PHS&KC, now in its fourth year, which provides technical assistance to PHS&KC, gives students an opportunity to participate in public health activities, and is now extending into planning for antivirals and pandemic influenza.
