Reception Celebrates 20 Years

On Monday, August 9, 2010 public health practitioners and academics gathered at the University of Washington Club to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of NWCPHP.
It was also an occasion to honor those who have directed NWCPHP through the years. We were fortunate that three former directors were able to attend: Mark Oberle, Patrick O’Carroll, and Jack Thompson.
Outgoing University of Washington School of Public Health dean, Patricia Wahl congratulated the past directors and outlined the history of NWCPHP. Making an unscheduled appearance, Howard Frumkin, incoming dean, stopped in and said a few words to those present.
NWCPHP wishes to thank all of our partners who have helped to make NWCPHP what it is today. We look forward to continued collaboration with you through the years as we work together to improve the public’s health.
