Hot Topics: Demystifying Social Media for Public Health Practice: Twitter, Facebook, and Linked-In

Social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook are becoming an increasingly common means of sharing information with the public. In the May Hot Topics session, Dr. Patrick O’Carroll will provide a general overview of the various uses of "new media" technologies in multiple public health settings. He will describe what technologies are best to use in different situations and address both the strengths and weaknesses of using "new media" technologies as tools in public health.
