NWCPHP Mission
The Northwest Center for Public Health Practice (NWCPHP) promotes excellence in public health by linking academia and the practice community. As part of the University of Washington School of Public Health, NWCPHP provides training, research, and evaluation for state, local, and tribal public health in six Pacific Northwest states—Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.



David Goldberg will discuss transportation reform legislation on Wed., Feb. 8 from 3:30–5:30.
The 4th Annual conference will be held in Portland, OR on February 10, 2012.
The February HTIP session will be on Tuesday, February 21 from 12:00–1:00 PM Pacific.
As part of the Seattle Healthy Places Research Group Forum, on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, David A. Goldberg will speak about the
new federal transportation bill and what it means for people's health. His talk will be held in the UW Health Sciences Center, Room H-670.
In the past, tribal populations in the Northwest were devastated by pandemics. To ensure that this loss of life does not happen again, Northwest tribes have formed important partnerships so that they will be ready to protect their communities from public health threats.
On August 5–10, 2012, researchers, public health professionals, health
care providers, governmental representatives, and community leaders will
have a unique opportunity to meet and discuss issues relevant to the
health of Arctic peoples.
