The Hot Topics in Preparedness session in January of 2008 will explore lessons for public health learned during the California wildfires. Three presenters will share their perspectives and lessons learned during the fires: Ms. Deborah Davenport, RN, PHN, MS, director of community health services, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health; Dr. Jonathan Fielding, director of the Department of Public Health and Health Officer for Los Angeles County; and Dr. Cyrus Rangan, director of the toxics epidemiology program, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, will discuss the wildfires on January 29, 12:00-1:00pm (Pacific time).
