NWCPHP has been fortunate to work with Dr. Beaton since 2005. He has been an instructor at the Summer Institute for Public Health Practice and conducted research concerning the impacts of disasters on vulnerable populations, including children. Susan Allan, Director of NWCPHP, remarked, "Randy has been a highly valued contributor to the practical work of our Center, and we look forward to his continued affiliation. He has been an important contributor to the under-studied field of mental health and emergency preparedness."

Dr. Beaton retired on June 30, 2011, but will continue to be involved with NWCPHP's initiatives.
