Public health data can be a powerful tool for improving communities. In the April session of Hot Topics, Muriel DeLaVergne-Brown, RN, MPH, Public Health Director for Crook County, Oregon, shares how her agency used data to cultivate new partnerships and financing for better walking and biking trails.

Crook County's initial investment of modest resources built momentum for two pioneering accomplishments—a health impact assessment on bicycle and pedestrian safety, which led to upgraded trails, and the honor of being named the “2013 small local health department of the year” by the National Association of County and City Health Officials. In this one-hour webinar, DeLaVergne-Brown explains how her 19-member agency thinks creatively to accomplish more with less and how other health departments can do the same.

Register today and learn innovative ideas for realizing big goals on small budgets.
