The ACA presents some historic opportunities for collaboration between the health care system and public health. What ACA related research is being pursued at UW, and what opportunities are there for future research?

Join us to hear examples of work done in the Department of Health Services related to the ACA. Doug Conrad, Professor of Health Services, Jeremy Snider, PhD candidate in Health Services, and Eli Kern, MPH from Public Health - Seattle & King County will talk about work being done to monitor the impact of health care reform in King County.

David Grembowski, Professor of Health Services, will present a synopsis of UW-SHARE, a statewide survey to assess access to health care.

Patricia Lichiello, Director of the UW Health Policy Center, will talk about the Washington State team's work in "Managing Health Reform" a longitudinal study of implementation of the ACA in 35 states

Northwest Center for Public Health Practice director Tao Sheng Kwan-Gett will give a brief update on public health practice developments in our region.

UW faculty, students, and staff are welcome to attend.
