In January 2013, NWCPHP launched a new website in an effort to better support public health practice. The site was re-organized to explain services more clearly, make the navigation intuitive, and improve the overall functionality. Earlier this month, NWCPHP received notification that the website had been chosen as one of the "Most Improved Websites" in the 2013 APEX Awards for Publication Excellence.

"We are very pleased," says Tao Kwan-Gett, NWCPHP Director. "We knew opportunities existed in our web presence to better connect public health practice with the services and information they need. We are grateful to be recognized by Communications Concepts."

Communications Concepts, the organization that puts on the APEX Awards, focuses on best practices in print, web, and e-publishing. In fact, this is the second APEX award NWCPHP has received for most improved website; the first such award came after a re-organization in 2010.

"This new website in 2013 was another exciting step," says Luann D'Ambrosio, NWCPHP Associate Director. "We are continuously working to better communicate what we do and how we can be of service."

In addition to the APEX award, NWCPHP is thrilled to have received positive feedback from the site's visitors, some of whom took a survey shortly after the website launched to help identify its strengths and areas for future improvement.
