The field of public health continues to experience escalating pressures—a growing mandate, shrinking funding, external demands, and organizational strains. It is a pivotal time, and skill development for public health leaders and managers is needed now more than ever before.

Join us for a special NWCPHP Leadership Institute webinar with Barry Levy, MD, MPH, and Joyce Gaufin, BS, CPM. These nationally known public health leaders with decades of front-line experience will share advice to help “any public health worker develop the necessary skills to become an inspiring leader.”

The information they will share about strong public health leadership is based on their book, Mastering Public Health: Essential Skills for Effective Practice. Some 60 experts in public health education and organizational management contributed their experiences to illustrate real-world challenges and how these challenges turned into successes. Ray M. (Bud) Nicola, MD, MHSA, FACPM, will also provide additional insights for the upcoming NWCPHP Leadership Institute which will begin in August.

Register now for this unique, no-cost webinar to hear valuable information on the latest thinking around public health leadership today. Former Leadership Institute scholars will benefit from this update, while potential new scholars for the 2012–13 Leadership Institute will receive a preview of the type of programming to expect if they decide to enroll in the program.
