Be part of the exciting first year of the Public Health Management Certificate—NWCPHP is now accepting registrations for 2011–12 participants.

Most public health professionals are trained in a specific public health discipline, but few receive training in management. The Public Health Management Certificate will enable public health practitioners to be more effective with current resources and increase their ability to bring in additional resources. Better management means stronger public health services and healthier communities.

The Public Health Management Certificate is a year-long program designed for managers in state, local, and tribal public health agencies in the six Northwest states (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming).

NWCPHP faculty and staff have created an exciting 12-month learning experience designed to meet the needs of working professionals. The program will be taught primarily through distance-based methods, both synchronous and asynchronous, following an initial on-site session of four days in Seattle. A certificate of completion will be provided based on completion of all the core courses and a specified number of electives.

This first year of the Public Health Management Certificate would not be possible without the generosity of the de Beaumont Foundation. For more information, visit the Public Health Management Certificate website.
