Have you ever given a presentation or training and wondered, "What did the audience think? Did you want to know if you presented the information clearly or if your words were useful to your listeners?"

Although the importance of evaluating public health activities is well documented, the benefits of evaluating presentations and trainings are often overlooked. A well designed and simple evaluation can help you determine if your presentation or training had the impact you intended.

NWCPHP has recently released a new toolkit, Effective Evaluation: A Toolkit for Evaluating Presentations and Trainings, that outlines the principles of effective evaluation. The toolkit is perfect for public health lawyers and public health professionals with beginning to intermediate-level evaluation experience.

Effective Evaluation: A Toolkit for Evaluating Presentations and Trainings is available on the NWCPHP website at no cost. The content for this toolkit was developed with input from the Network for Public Health Law. It is one of a series funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to support public health law training.
