Healthy Homes Training Registration Open!

NWCPHP is offering a training in Boise, Idaho to help you better understand the relationship between health and housing.

Are you considering starting a Healthy Housing program in your community? Or do you visit people in their homes and want to know more about the connection between a person's home and their health status?

Whether you are a practitioner, program planner, or policy maker, NWCPHP is offering a training in Boise, Idaho to help you better understand the relationship between health and housing. In this dynamic training, you will learn how to take a holistic approach to identify and resolve problems that threaten the health and well-being of residents.

Healthy Homes for Community Health Workers Course • September 20, 2011

Who should attend? Visiting nurses, social workers, health department staff, housing agency personnel, community health advocates

What will I learn? In this course, you will learn how to provide healthy homes information to members of your community in both one-on-one and large group settings. You will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to provide general advice about healthy homes issues and to recommend specific healthy homes approaches to families, landlords, and community members.
