The public health system and the communities it serves are experiencing immense change. Are you ready to tackle the challenges brought by demographic shifts, emerging health threats, shifting service models, and more?

The 2015 Summer Institute for Public Health Practice, August 3–6, offers a transformative learning experience for developing hands-on skills to address public health challenges. The training includes three-and-a-half days of instruction, plenary sessions, breaks, and an evening reception.

This year's Institute offers a mix of tried and true favorites as well as newly revised classes in health communication, health equity, and data interpretation. All courses will touch on equity issues, with the new Promoting Health Equity course providing a more in-depth exploration of the material.

Choose one course for the duration of the week and take part in an in-depth learning experience in your preferred topic. Courses include:

  • Health Communication *
  • Implementing Program Planning and Evaluation
  • Interpreting and Using Health Data *
  • Leadership in Changing Times
  • Promoting Health Equity: Train the Trainer Workshop *
