The University of Washington’s Emergency Preparedness and Bioterrorism Awareness Curriculum Development Program focuses on developing a multidisciplinary curriculum in bioterrorism and public health emergency preparedness to train health profession students at the University of Washington Academic Medical Center and the Washington State University College of Pharmacy.
This multidisciplinary curriculum equips health profession students to respond to public
health and bioterrorism emergencies. Through graduate-level courses, a
graduate certificate program, and a student practicum, the program trains
students to:
- Meet the needs of disaster or bioterrorism victims
- Participate in a coordinated, multidisciplinary response to an emergency
- Effectively activate appropriate response mechanisms
