Conducting training

NWCPHP coordinates on-site and distance learning courses on a range of topics of interest to public health professionals.

Our monthly Web conferencing series, Hot Topics in Preparedness, offers regular presentations and discussion forums on key issues in preparedness.

Presenting institutes

NWCPHP works with our partners and faculty to provide a variety of workforce development and leadership training institutes across the Northwest region.

Public health training institutes are held each year, including the Summer Institute for Public Health Practice and similar annual institutes we support with a number of our regional partners. Training topics respond to the interests of our audiences and have ranged from epidemiology to management to emergency preparedness issues.

NWCPHP developed the Northwest Public Health Leadership Institute to provide a year-long distance learning training in the leadership skills and knowledge necessary for public health practice.
